Call from this number yesterday pm and today.  Not a number I recognise and line constantly engaged when I tried to call back

Got the same call, same reply when returning the call.

Might be something to do with American Express who are based in Brighton and are somewhat devious when attempting to contact customers that don't want to speak to them.

I keep getting this number 3-4 times a day but it comes up as 080012181 on my caller display,  when i answered it sounded like a foreigner he said his name was patrick!? I didnt give him the chance to carry on speaking and hung up. I have choose to refuse so I barred it.

this number called me twice today,fortunately missed both calls,tried to call back and permanently engaged even at 10.30pm,so think it must be dodgy!

had several missed calls from this number - finally answered one today and they were trying to sell extended warranties for sky satellite equipment

Same spec as others, missed call, tried to call back from my mobile and a landline, engaged every time!

I think it is Barclay card offering some kind of personal accident cover!

I have had numerous missed calls from this number and every time I try to call the number back no matter what time it is day or night, the number is always engaged. It's really fcuking me off now! I am also getting the same from a different number which is 01484 420155. Fcuk off will you!

I am getting calls from the same number, 3 times a week. when I answer no one speaks

Got 2 missed calls which show up as 08001218141 on caller ID but when I did last number, this number showed up. People who have written about calls from 08001218141 seem to think it's from Barclays but I think they may have sold our numbers onto other marketing companies or something - all very strange!

Got a call from them every day for past 10 days. When I call bach it's always engaged!

Missed call LOG on phone showed 08001218141 but the "missed call text" I get from T-Mobile at the exact same time showed the number as 01273384548.

Always engaged when I tried calling back. I suspect it's from egg credit card as they've been trying to contact me for a while.

Calling the 0800 number tho, it says it's a barclays marketing call.

Doing my head in! I have a baby and it rings the house just as I am putting him to bed!

Started getting calls showing up on my caller I.D from this number around a week ago.The calls usually seem to be in the late afternoon,and now arriving at around 2 or 3 a day.

I have not actually answered a call from them yet,but as has been described above,if you call it back,even at this time of noght (10.50pm) it's engaged.

Call from this yesterday (15/03/08), did not answer and good thing too as im abroad at the moment. Will wait and see if they call back now.

I've had one missed call from each of these numbers, same as everyone else - always engaged when you try and call back! Grrrrr!!

yes I have gotten repeated calls from this number askin about my partner which does not live with me any more every time i explain that they hang up but they keep calliin and different people call!! It is really annoying me now!! does any1 know anything to do about this!!??!!

I had a couple of calls from this number in the past but always missed them - line busy when I tried to call back. Now it seems to have started again, two calls in the same number of days, no voicemail left and line still busy. Starting to get annoyed! Who do we have to contact to get these people stopped?!
