who calls on this number and what do they want

This is Redstar Financial Management, yet another of these companies set up to try and get people to reclaim mis-sold PPI.

I answered a call from this number a guy called Tim of Redstar, he wanted to speak to  .....  I told him they were out of the country, he sounded all official, as if something was wrong he said it was regarding a financial claim.  He did not state if the claim was on their behalf or against them!!!    I thought I needed to address an urgent issue.  

Reading the info that they are trying to get people to claim re PPI or whatever made me realise this is a scam.

These calls should be banned, they are upsetting  the caller made me feel uneasy and next time I will tell this Redstar not to waste my time.

I had a missed call from this company when i returned the call i was told they were from the dept of justice about a claim I told him that the line was bad and to phone me at home I went home and worried for an hour went onto the dept of justice website and the only thing i could see that  had anything to do with me was PPI i read the reports about dodgy ppi selling and begun to worry about mine i then googled the number and realised they were a  dodgy ppi claim managment company!!!

I won't answer a number if I don't recognize it and
if they do not leave a message.
Sometimes they end in 8403 instead of  8402

The number is for Redstar - a PPI claim back company.

Nothing to worry about - just annoying. Seemed polite and promised to remove my number from their database.

had call from this firm who wanted to speak to my wife - I Was not impressed I asked who they were. eventually admitted that it concerned PPI I pointed out that this number was listed with TPS but was very unwilling to ring off before speakin to my wife. Passed phone to my wife who told his to go away as well. Why are these firms not prosecuted?

I've had 3 calls from this number 2 on my landline and 1 on my mobile they are getting very annoying and don't like it when you say that you don't have any PPI to claim back

Parasites. Never get the hint when you don't answer after numerous attempts of them phoning you. Its a PPI claim company. When you tell them you are not interested in there services they told me to get off the line after them phoning me.

Get this call all the time very annoying as there are disabled people living here who have to make great efforts to answere such calls

These people rang me and said I had unclaimed PPI. When I told them I didnt have and told them to bog off they got rude and started ranting and shouting abuse down phone. I cancelled their call and theytried ringing me back three more times. They are rude, obnoxious, and haven't a clue how they've got my number. They withheld their number so can't block them or report them.

I received a call today from one of their advisors trying to sell me PPI. I certainly did not appreciate the way he spoke to me with the following conversation:

"I'm not interested in any PPI claims thank you"

Advisor
"so you're saying you'd be ok with me coming up to you at the end of the month and taking £3000"

Me
"I don't appreciate the way you're trying to sell me PPI. I've had a previous experience with a PPI company and I do not wish to make any claim"

Advisor
"Do you always judge a book by its cover"

Me
"I've said I do not wish to pursue a claim"

End of call.

This is an awful customer service and sales technique.
Report them and demand they remove you from their database. I'm also signed up to the preference call management so not to get these nuisance calls!

Just had a call from this lot. They told me they knew I had mis sold ppi and that they'd be able to claim it back for me. I told them that I had already claimed my ppi back myself and received £5500 back, 3 months ago. He then went on to ask if I have ever had any other credit or store cards, particularly Capital One or MBNA, that I had forgotten about. I told him I had only ever had loans or credit cards from my bank. He said he'd make sure my number was taken off their database and ended the call.

This company is now doing pension reviews.  Just hang up on them there scammers

I got a call from them and thanks i will know nxt time not to answer it they called me at a busy time these kind of people need locking up ....

They Called me today Redstar very threatening tone and scary trying to get me to give details to them
Blocked number but avoid at all costs!

Called my mobile asking for my husband by name. I said it wasn't his phone, hung up!
