This number called me. I got the number from my call back system but when I called back it said: this number is no longer in service. I want to know who is calling me, I believe this code is from Whitby. Please contact me back on my BTinternet e-mail with the name of this caller. Thank you

They rang me - knew my name. asked her what she was trying to sell me- told me nothing but did I have a mobile phone. Said I did and was not interested in changing it. Put phone down on her. Not convinced this person was in England - there was a short time delay.

I tried ringing number back and like the others, got message that the service was no longer available.
Am on Telephone Preference Service, but still getting unwanted calls - especially American and Indian ones!

Likewise, tried rining back this number and get the message that it is no longer available. Wouldn't mind too much but some of the calls have been in the morning at the weekend.

Caller ID showing an additional zero on my phone: 0019476632176 leading me to believe this is a non-UK number.

This number called me, when I answered it seemed to tranfer to another line. They answered saying there was a problem with my computer. When I rang the number, I to got the message saying that this number was no longer available.

the person was calling about my computer saying it had a security issue with event click software he could hardlyu speak english saying that i had to open fils on windows vista to check something to make it more secure i knew that there was something not right with the call becuase i tried to end the call but could not close the line as he always seem to be there so please be aware that this person is probably a scammer trying to gain your confidence with lies about your computer and other information

My story very similar to Andrew's on 15/8/09. My husband answered the phone was told there is an issue with something on our computer to open a program the person on the other end of the phone got very rude when he said that he didnt know anything about our computer and wasn't touching it.

I got a call then a hang up same number Im in NZ dont know where this number is from.

My wife received a call from this number around 2pm. The person said there was a problem with her computer running slow and would she sit in front of it. Sensibly she refused, hung up and turned off the computer and the ADSL modem. It's a scam but I can't figure out what they are after - also how did they know the name and telephone number?

call from this number stating it was Glen from the International Computer Support centre - caller sounded Indian. Wanted to know if we had computer - knew it was a scam and messed him around for a while and then he hung up on me.

The number I'm reporting is 0 01947 6632176  yes its an international number bit confused about where its from but it appears a scam of some kind.

Call logged at 4.05 today (18/9). Sounded like a busy call centre, tried to get my wife (who answered the phone) to give some information from the computer by saying that we had a serious virus infection. She passed the call to me and the caller indentified himself as calling from "Global Computer Services", after some discussion he hung up on me. Tried to get back by dialling the above number but was answered by an automatic message saying the the service was no longer available. This is clearly a scam to obtain information to help to hack into a victims computer or to plant malicious software.

Same phone numbers rang me twice, since i have a caller display & doesn't recognise this number, i put my answering machine on, didn't leave any message.  I'm glad to read all these, now i know to ignore this number.

I got a call earlier today from 012127773456 by an indian guy claiming my computer will crash if i don't pay money on some site. so i told him to call me back in two hours, i then traced his number found out he was a scammer and then told him he was a scammer and i didn't want to hear from him again. Five seconds later he calls me on 019476632176! The nerve! is anyone else being called by both these numbers by the same person??
