Missed call from 0871 623 0281 today (31/07/08 @ 10.18) - any ideas on who this is?

Just happened to me on my mobile. Only rang a second or so.

Just had a call from this number 08716230821... it only rang once or twice then the call dropped before i could answer... I dialled it back form tyhe office phone and it seems to be a voice mail box. . . any one know who this could be?

Just happen to me now - rang for about a second or so then dropped the call.
Me being Miss "Google-it" found this page fromt he number alone!

Out of interest, it seems we have all recieved these calls on mobile phones.
What network are you all using - I'm on Vodaphone, wondering if it is network specific or across the range?

Had the same experience. Mobile rang for a second, went dead and returning the call goes straight to an answer service. I am also on Vodafone

Within the past minute that number (08716230281) rang. My mobile (on T-Mobile) only rang once, and then they hung up! I'd be interested to know if this number is ringing just mobiles, and if so, which netwrok(s).

Exactly the same. Couple of rings and done. Goes through to voice mail when you call it back

Exactly the same here: my mobile (02) rang once or twice and stopped, leaving this number. Probably a trick to make us ring them back and give them some money for free!!

Same has happened to me 14:54. O2

Just called me service provider of this, (O2) and they have had several calls regarding this.  It is a scam,the person calling from this number gets money everytime people return the call.  O2 have put a note on my account regarding this.  They advise not returning the call
