Number is missing the last digit?

Got a call from this number-missing the last digit and no message left.

I also keep getting a call from this number at least once a week.  The caller never leaves a message or answers.  When I call it back, I cannot complete the call because it is missing the last digit.  Very strange.

I actually answered the call and it was a recording for a carpet company offering steam cleaning. Press 1 to talk to someone, press 2 to be taken off the list. We'll see if I actually get taken off the list...

Have gotten 2 calls this week from this number.  I haven't bothered to answer since the number was missing a digit and i figured it was garbage.

I AM ON THE fing DO NOT CALL LIST. If the ahole who called is trying to sell me carpet cleaning then they are VIOLATING THE LAW. I would like to know their street address so I can visit them IN PERSON and ram something up their everloving a**es for INTRUDING on MY private telephone line.

I also told SPRINT to block text messaging on ALL of my phone. f***ers DIDN'T DO THIS AGAIN.

WTF is up with this. Same as everyone else, calls but missing a digit and leaves no message. I will be checking my bill for this person. I wonder if it is only on mobile numbers.

call came into my mobile phone, didnt answer.

This is the fifth time my phone has logged calls from this number since 8/28/08. When I called it back the response was "your international call can not be connected at this time". Does anybody know who,or why they are calling? More importantly, HOW did they get my PRIVATE and UNLISTED number?

Carpet cleaning message as indicated by Apes above. I have a bad feeling that pressing 2 has added me to a list of valid phone numbers.

I didn't answer, they left no message. I was curious as to why callerID only showed 9 digits.

Same thing.  Only 6 digits, no answer and no message.  Glad to hear I am not the only one receiving these calls.  Hopefully someone will get to the bottom of this.

I got it too.  Grrr.  I did a search to find carpet cleaners with that number...or at least with what numbers I had and got nothing.

Just got the same call from the phone number with only 9 digits and no message.  Didn't answer since I'm at work, but very irritating, as I, too, am on the DO NOT CALL list.  Next time, I'll answer, and heaven help them!!!

Just got another call - they call me all the time.  I don't answer because I am leary of being charged for something without knowledge.  Definitely frustrating.  I am also on Do Not Call list.

Received a call from this number; must be a marketing or company number. The last digit is missing. Maybe that's how the company blocks. I didn't answer. Also, no message on my cell phone. Great, I remember a time when there was no solicitation on cell phones. I thought I had my number blocked.

Wow. I just started to research to figure out what was up with this phone number I keep getting on my missed calls... same deal as everyone else. Strange, and very annoying. Think I'll just add it to my contacts as "DON'T ANSWER"
