    Over it
I recieved three phone calls from this number today. They are rude and obnoxious and refuse to give me any information about themselves. Instead they choose to call me names and make fun of me over the phone. The woman laughed more the more upset I got. then hung up on me. when I tried to call back I got a machine. Now a man named tim o'brien called from that number saying I've got until 9pm this evening to call back. I am not even the person they asked for...I told them that but they do not believe me.

    Did you hear the news?
"Yesterday in Springfield, an armed man entered the offices of a bulk phone calling service (which asked not to be identified), shouting angrily about his phone being for his personal use, not for the use of marketeers. He herded the office staff into a back office, where he played a recording on his cell phone while selecting people to repeat the same message. If the voice matched closely enough, he shot that person in the knee-cap. After shooting three people, he screamed 'Find another line of work', and ran out. Police say the gunman was a middle aged, average sized white-male, with brown hair, and that without some lucky break, they are not hopeful of much progress."

    Pass it on.

18002203350 hung up on me, so no real information.
Personally, I have a dozen of these numbers in my address book, all with the name Junk, and ring-type set to 'silent'.

Two calls received from this number from a man named Emanuel Curtis on a Sunday morning, September 2nd @ 8:30 a.m. and again on Thursday, September 6 at 8:30 at at extension x 6539. He did not give the name of his company nor the nature of the call. After reading about the multiple complaints and trouble regarding calls from this number and the violence within this company, I have decided to block these calls and/or report them to the FTC for harrassment, as it seems they are not willing to give their information about themselves to the people they are calling. My name can be revealed but I do not want it published if you need it for reporting purposes. Who are these people? They sound dangerous.

This number appears to be from a collection company.  The trouble is, they often get the wrong numbers programmed into their automated calling system.  While the automated collection calling systems are borderline illegal (even if a debt is owed), their collection marketing plan appears to be this:  plug in any phone number even remotely close to the targeted debtor.  This could be family, friends, or even old numbers recycled to someone else.  I made the mistake of giving my cell number out on business correspondence for a company I consulted which had some outstanding debt issues.  This number started calling me 3-4 times a day...

If you receive a call from this number, even if legitimate - report them immediately to the FCC.  There are restrictions and fines on creditors for these belligerent collection practices (see The Fair Debt Collect Practices Act @ http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/fair-debt-act.html).  They must be stopped...

They have been calling me daily now for weeks.  I called them 2 times to let them know they have the wrong # for the name they are asking for.  It doesn't do any good, they just keep calling.  I saved the number in my cell phone and put the ringtone to "silent."  I'm leaving this in my heavenly Father's hands now.  He can fix the problem for me.

I see I am not alone in this.I recieved a call from this exact same number, told them they have the wrong number and name, and these [***] still kept calling sometimes up to 8 times a day.
They were rude and beligerant when I asked them what exactly this company was and why they persisted in calling my number when I had made it clear the person they were asking for didnt exist.
They wouldnt divulge any personal information as to what their bussiness was,or the company name.
finally I threatened to turn them in for harrassment and they stopped.
Who exact are these morons? and why do they take it upon themselves to call my cell phone and waste my airtime when they are told not too?
I hope more people go into these bulk calling places and shoot these people dead.
I agree with that gunman, they need to get a real job!

I am an Administrator at a very busy hospital in Maryland.  I have received three calls for someone named Nikita.  Via their phone tree, I indicated it was the wrong number and it transfered me to a representative.  I told him that this is a hospital phone number, not a personal line and it needed to be removed from his list immediately.  Before I got through the word hospital, the rep. started speaking over me, EXTREMELY RUDELY, telling me that he needed the number.  I told him that I didn't need his attitude (he called me, remember), gave him the number and hung up on him.  This is borderline harrassment.

I have been receiving calls from ARM for several months. They call for someone who no longer has my number and whom I don't know. The calls increase in frequency to several times daily. My lawyer says You have to call your local phone provider, your state attorney general, the FTC and the Do Not CALL Registry ( I report every call the same day I received it) if you are on the do not call list. Document all calls, date and time. Send them a certified letter (keep a copy of the letter) to ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGEMENT INC 155 Mid Atlantic Parkway THOROFARE, NJ 08086 Attn: Joe Burch Sr. V.P. Keep your receipt. Tell them they are in violation of of Public Laws 95-109 and 99-361, also known as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, to end all calls immediately to your number. They also violate the Do Not Call List act, ”if a consumer asks a company not to call, the company may not call, even if there is an established business relationship, indeed, a company may not call a consumer - regardless of whether the consumer's number is on the registry - if the consumer has asked to be put on the company's own do not call list,” Tell them to CEASE & DESIST all calls to your phone number.Warn them you will utilize telephone recording devices in order to document any telephone conversations. Inform them you are aware of numerous lawsuits against them in Federal court for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well as State courts and Civil courts. Let them know you will sue if the calls continue. Make sure you sign & date the letter. Even if they reject your letter you have grounds to sue. Good luck, they have had over 30 Federal cases alone since 2004. I look forward to seeing them in court. Even if you do owe money you have the right to request the calls end and to sue if they don't.

I got a call from these people today.  They asked if I was a specific person, and if not to press a number.  I pressed the number, and they had an option re: if they had a wrong number and I pressed that.  The recording then said all operators are busy and to please call back and gave me a reference number.  I've had our phone number for 24+ years, so it's not someone's old number.  Thanks to "scar" for the instructions on who to contact if they keep calliing.

ok so i just called them and they said they would take me off the call list, these people are rude and very unprofessional. they have been calling me on my cell phone every day 2 to 3 times a day, even contacting me at my job. apparently they are a debt collection company that buys past due accounts from credit companys or in my case banks. once i let them know that i was about to take legal action against them if the calls did not stop they agreed to take me off thier call list. here is a link to their website www.arm1.com

Extremely rude people. They keep calling although they have the wrong number and person. Blatantly disregard  DNC list and swear and crack jokes. They should be shut down and their business terminated. What if a child picks up the phone and they speak like this. What is America coming too? I've never spoken to a ruder individual in my life.
His Extension is 6583. He fails to identify himself and his company and swears and threatens me!
Call him back for yourselves to see what i mean.

I got the same call three or four times a day for a month. In my case, a prerecorded message inquires about a Toby Jackson. You can't budge these bloodhounds. Fortunately, I figured out how to block the number on my wireless home phone. Now it appears they have made a new number (1-877-525-5200) and the whole thing started again. Now that number is also blocked. They will return soon, I'm sure.
