Caller ID said Private and 1-800-514-7490, I received several calls just after some service changes to my Verizon account so I would agree with the other two comments listing Verizon as the originator of the call.

I agree, I have changed some services w/Verizon, that afternoon 6 calls showed on my ID as blocked calls from this #...they started again the next morn at 8AM......

I had called to report a phone/internet outage to Verizon a few days earlier. Then began receiving multiple 'private' calls from 800-514-7490 with no messages left on answering machine.

I also received a message from the 1-800-514-7490 after contacting Verizon.  Why does a follow-up by Verizon have to be 'private caller?'

Yup, I switched servies yesterday to Verizon and got the Private Name 1-800-514-7900 call this morning. When I answere it they hung up...

Switched Verizon Services today and received a voice message  listing "private" from 800-514-7490

I changed some services with verizon and am also on the do not call list. That is probably why they don't answer. This is harrassment (hope spelling is good) Class action on grounds
of accountability would be appropriate.

I changed some services with verizon also and all of the sudden I have received over 27 calls including some from this number!

And I too changed my Verzion calling plan.  makes you wonder and my number is unlisted unplublished too.

Same thing here as the other comments. We changed to Verizon FiOS yesterday and got a call at 8 am today, 2 rings and then hung up. Caller ID showed "blocked name" and 1-800-514-7490.

We had verizon service out to our house yesterday and now the calls have not stopped from this number.VERY annoying.

I called verizon today and also got several calls from 1800-514-7490, with
no messages left, so I called the number and it was verizon with an automated
message to tell me that my service request was completed.  I started receiving these calls within 1 hour of calling verizon.

Same thing happened to me I change some of my verizon services one hour later received  a call from 1-800-514-7490 and they hung up.
