Just received a call from this number listed a Tampa Fla.  Answered call and was an empty line.  Returned call to a "this number has been disconnected"..ia SPAM CALL

Answered phone, after a few seconds I heard the caller hang up. About 5 days earlier I received another call, this time from near Daytona Beach with the same results.

Caller ID says "Maureen Hilcox." No message is left

Got an automated message talking about directv. I pressed one to talk to a representaive. I told them I was on the do not call list and to remove my number. The lady hung up on me. I called the number right back and it said that number was not in service. I reported them to donotcall.gov and if everyone else does the same they will get investigated.
My next step was to contact DirecTV directly to see if this call actually came from them or if it's a scam company using DirecTVs name to gather our credit card information.
DirecTV said it DOES NOT do telephone marketing which means this is an attempted identity theft. You can report this number to DirecTV by calling 1-800-860-1283 and telling them you need to report potential fraud activity.

The person who posted after me on the above site said they acted like a credit card company. This is absolutely a scam!!!

I also was told it was for direct TV but when I started asking questions they hung up on me.  Got one on my cell phone too from "unknown".  They hung up when I asked for more info on their company. I'll report to do not call also.

I think we should also try and complain to BBB, but when I tried to look up the number there, it came up with nothing. SIGH.

Same here.  I repeatedly get calls from this number ( 813 880 9485 ) and answer to get a loud tone.

Received calls from this number for selling me direct tv. I am on the do not call list.  The message left was this is direct tv, please contact us at your leisure. Nothing else.

Got a call while I was out a few days ago from (813) 880-9485.  No message was left.

When solicitation calls get trough I act interested but tell them I will not discuss anything financial unless I initiate the call. I ask for a number where I can call directly back.  That will get a legitimate number to report and maybe a name.  Usually they hang up on me at that point.

I get this call about twice a week - I recently discontinued out Direct TV service after 14 years so just thought that this had placed me on a "GET THEM BACK AT ALL COSTS" list, but now I see it's probably just another one of the slimey ______ who pray on people who do not let their answering service pick up their calls, hoping that there will be someone silly enough to TRUST them with important info! Thanks for you all's help!!!!!

The phone rang about four times. No one was there when we answered. Our caller ID showed 813-880-9485.

I was not at home when call came in  Tried to call back but the number would not go through as dialed.  Just had another unknow call and no one was on the line.

Bull**** scam calls. They change scam every month or two.

Received a call in Hudson Valley, Ny.  No one answered. Tampa, Fla. came up with reverse look ur showing call originating near Tampa General Hospital.

Received a call in Phoenicia, NY on a business line.
Wanted to sell health insurance.
