They called and said that it was urgent that they speak to my son saying he was in all kinds of trouble and they wanted all types of personal information from me ,( which when I wouldn't tell them anything they got very mad and threatening. I knew it was some sort of SCAM because i knew my son was never in trouble and being that the call is based in florida, i knew they were so full of SH-T!   Needless to say, I asked to speak to their supervisor and asked them for more info that they could give me, they got disgusted and hung up. These people are a total bunch of SCAM ARTISTS plain and simple HANG-UP on THEM.

TO Maryann Stolburg--- If "legal mediation police dept" is displayed on your caller id--take a picture of it or take the whole thing to a law enforcement agency of some sort or take it to an attorney--anything to capture that id and phone #  sue them and I'll only claim a small portion for telling you!!
Representing a police dept is very much illegal --they'll pay you off rather than go to court!!!

I am gettings calls from them also.  They are asking for me with my maiden name.  I am very nervous.  They are saying I have till 5 pm to call back.  Instead of saying goodbye, they say, good luck.  I am very hesitant to call back.  Not sure how they would have gotten my current number with my old name.

They called my cell phone number and asked for my nephew.  Told them I didn't know how to get ahold of him (which I don't) and they got rude.  I hung up on the lady.

A Robert Matthews called from Mediation Group and said they had come to a decision in their office regarding his case.  What case?  He has no case.  We did not call back so my husband could make a "final statement".

THEY ARE A COLLECTION AGENCY....THAT'S WHAT THE PEOPLE ARE TRAINED TO SAY...THE PEOPLE THAT WORK AT THIS PLACE DON'T LAST LONG...THEY HAVE NO POWER TO DO ANYTHING TO YOU OTHER THEN REPORT YOU TO THE CREDIT AGENCIES...LOOKS LIKE THE WHAT THEY SAY SCARES PEOPLE..

I received message from them about 2 weeks ago saying the same thing... Their office has made a decision about my case they have in their office. It was from Randy West. When I called back I got a woman named Kelly on the phone. She told me that I had until 4pm to send them 662.50 or I'd have the police at my home or place of employment to arrest me. I said ok, got her fax number and hung up. I faxed them a letter stating that what they are doing is against the law under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and from that point forward they are not allowed to contact me via phone. They can only contact me via united states postal service (which they have NEVER done). I also filed a complaint with BBB - Northern Florida, Florida's Attorney General's Office and the American Collections Association since Legal Mediation Practice is a member. I got a response back today from the BBB with a letter via email Legal Mediation Practice sent them. They stated that they no longer have the debt and that it has been sent back to the original creditor to collect on and that they had tried numerous times to contact me via letters which again they NEVER have. I'm not worried about this company and neither should ya'll. Just file formal complaints with the people I've listed and they will leave you alone. I won't pay anything because this debt is not mine. My identity was stolen and I've several other calls just like this one for online payday loans. Until I have proof that I was the one who did this loan I will not pay it.

We got these calls many times in the last few weeks. Since I did not recognize the caller, I keep hang up on them. One time, I decided to pickup the phone and find out what they have to say, after a short a conversation, I told him that he got a wrong number, he gets angry so I hang up. These are very disturbed calls. Anyone knows how to stop these type of scam would be appreciated.
