Got a call from (999)999-9999. Answered it, they asked for a person who didn't live in our house, he apologized saying he must have had the wrong number, and hung up.

I received a call from (999)999-9999.  I was not home to answer and no message was left.

This number was shown on caller I.D. for Waste Management wanting to advise that they holiday pickup would be one day delayed.  Couldn't understand why they couldn't use a number that would identify them.

I got a phone call from this number. I picked up and nobody answer.

I saw this number on my caller ID and when I returned the call it was for the police

I got a text message on my cell phone that came up with this number from someone stating they had got my number from an old friends and if I wanted to know who they were to look at a website they listed in the text messsage. However I have not felt obliged to check out the website so I have no idea what it was about.

A call came in with caller ID 19999999999.  I was unable to pick up and a John left me a message and asked for a return call.  He did not identify himself but asked me to call back at 1-866-716-5705.  

I called back the next day and spoke to Katrine.  She said they were a company that dealt with "personal affairs."  She immediately knew who I was even though I always keep my identity private on caller ID when making all calls.  She informed me of a "debt" which had been paid off on time months earlier.  She was very shady and would not give me much information (although she sure wanted mine).

I called the company that I allegedly owed.  They informed me that I owed nothing and that they had not referred anything to a collection agency.

I called the collection agency back again at the same number (1-866-716-5705) and spoke with Antwan.  Again, my identity was immediately known.  I informed him of the situation.  I asked again the name of the agency, making known that the law states that he must give it to me if asked directly.  He informed me it was State Collection Service.

I have no problems with returning a collection agency's calls when they are straight forward and identify themselves, but it is this type of shady business that really angers me.  It is the unsavory manner in which most choose to go about their business that will cause me to blow a call off more than anything.

it was 16:45 and i did received a call on my cell phone with no caller ID showing the following number... 999-999-9999   I do live in Canada.
i did answer the phone and i did hear someone but the person was not saying anything the call did last 10 seconds and then , i suppose that the person did hangup.

that is the first time i receive such a weird call on a cell phone

Could somebody help me with that ???

they called and an automated male voice said if you are not this person hang up, you did not hang up so you are saying this persons name is you and you need to contact us at blah blah blah about a debt owed.It was speaking to my voice mail machine. Civil litigation is pending. I am not the person named and I don't owe anyone. The only late bill to a hospital I had was paid 3/19/08 almost a month ago. I plan on ignoring them and reporting them to the do not call list.

This number called at 7:02pm Central Time and left a messsage on our voice-mail. The number showed as Unavailable 999-999-9999. A male voice said, "This message is for S---- W----- (someone I live with). This is Rick (or Nick or Dick) Daniels. Please call me back at 1-800-963-4194." WTF ever....

File complaints at the above url. when i get a call from these types of numbers i put in numerouse complaints about them. it only takes a minute or so to do. the url is at the top of my favorites list.
this has cut down the amount of these types of calls i recieve.

Getting text messeages from 999-999-9999,how do I find out who it is?, please help.

i got the same call but it was a weird booming noise that sounded like someone drumming,the call lasted 10 seconds then disconnected. after that first call it kept happening my phone company can't block it. its kinda strange.

I have been getting several of these over the last couple of days. Its a little eerie. And we are on the do not call list. I don't understand. The oddest thing is that the first time the number came through, the ring was different than i have ever heard it. I answered the call, silence. I said hello again, still nothing. Then they call back an hour later....never a message...

I've been receiving these calls about 6 times a day from 999-999-9999.

On Saturday, May 10, 2008 during the 9:00AM hour I got a call from 999-999-999.

no their, hangs up. Not to be calling, have on no call list. This number 999-999-9999 needs to be stoped....

I receive probably 3 calls a week from this number (999-999-9999). They always ask for some Mike guy. I told them that there is no Mike at this number and asked them to stop calling. It stopped for maybe a week, but they eventually called me, again asking for Mike. This has been going on for some time now. When I see this number, I just dont answer. They leave a message sometimes asking for Mike to call them back at such and such a number. I dunno...
